Autumn Colours

On a damp but mercifully mostly dry day yesterday I went to meet family and to do some photography at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire. The colours are just about perfect after an unseasonably warm start to Autumn 2017. The seasonal trail was busy as one would expect and so I focused on doing some macro shots of leaves and buds. I also worked on some creative shots using ‘intentional camera movement’, using a slow shutter speed ed and drawing the zoom in/out...does it work? It certainly gives some interesting effects!

Doggy Swim!!!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending my first doggy swim - there are many happening in Lidos all around the country, but I went to Cheltenham to Sandford Parks Lido. I attended as a customer...taking my God-dog Coco - a normally happy swimmer, but she decided that she prefers swimming in lakes and rivers chasing ducks than bobbing around in a swimming pool! My dog Bertie is a cautious swimmer and is recovering from an ear infection which is why I went with Coco this time. Despite the disappointment of her not thoroughly enjoying the experience, myself and my mum loved the event...lots of happy doggy swimmers and even happier owners!!! It was lovely to see lots of dog-related products

Pheasants, pheasants, pheasants...

The pheasant season 2017 is well underway and I have asked Warwick Daniels to provide a 5 minute interview to get his thoughts on his favourite shoots and much more! 5 minute interview - Warwick Daniels Friend and former colleague Warwick is passionate about his shooting. Formerly Master of Clay Pigeon Shooting at Cokethorpe School his team became 3 times British Schools and Young Shots Champions and spent 2 years with the UK High Gun under his tutelage. As an APSI instructor he is now coaching at three shooting schools in the South East and spends many days 'in field'. Q. In a typical season how many shoots would you attend? A. About 15, but last year it was 22 Q. What is your most me
